FIJI’S MOBILE FIELD HOSPITAL
K2 TECH SOLUTIONS HAS BEEN A PROUD SUPPLIER OF WESTERN SHELTERS TO THE FIJI EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TEAM
Fiji’s Emergency Medical Assistance Team (FEMAT) is the Pacific’s first WHO-verified Emergency Medical Team. FEMAT can now respond to emergencies and disasters in Fiji, across the Pacific and beyond, providing medical services for up to 100 patients a day. EMT’s are designed to respond quickly – being deployed to an impacted area with days or hours to treat immediate needs following a disaster. The team will comprise of four doctors, eleven nurses, one pharmacist, an environmental health officer and three logisticians.
There are currently twenty-five internationally verified EMTs globally, with a mixture of response capabilities.
Fiji is the 26th EMT to receive formal verification.
With support from the Australian, New Zealand and World Health Organisation, this self-sufficient team of health professionals and their mobile field hospital are now ready to deploy. This notable achievement by the Government of Fiji will save lives at home and abroad.

FEMAT Mobile Field Hospital consists of three HS1935 shelters, three HO shelters and Vestibule connectors which allows the shelters to be joined in several configurations.

The K2 WDU-2 Water Disinfection Unit, capable of producing 32 litres per minute.It has been challenge tested by an independent Australian water testing laboratory for the removal of Giardia, Cryptosporidium and bacteria.
The unit is supplied in a space case, with spare filters and spare UV lamp and sleeve, etc, a pre- filter kit is also available, for use where the source water has a high turbidity level.
